Using my expert Lean and QI knowledge, I have delivered a number of masterclasses for market access teams in medical device companies, helping them create more robust and efficient processes while supporting national direction such as the transfer of complex treatments into the community.

Leeds Institute for Quality in Healthcare – Faculty, University of Leeds
As part of this groundbreaking, pan city and pan sector programme, I ran bespoke workshops on a number of improvement science subjects, such as flow, QI, measurement for improvement and quality tools. In addition I coached small, cross sector teams on collaborative improvements projects around areas such as diabetes, FNoF and COPD.
Quality and Efficiency Improvement in the Hospice Sector – Consultant
Working with my long time collaborator Liz Ward, we created and supported a bespoke programme of improvement for a large hospice group, looking at core decision making flexibility and admissions and discharge processes.
National General Practice Improvement Programme – Concept Development and Author
Reflecting on my experience while working in national programme roles, and working with my friends at KM&T and Liz Ward, I developed the concept and authored a bespoke programme of improvement in general practice. It has currently been deployed to over 1000 practices in the UK

As an expert in QI and Lean, I have designed and delivered a large number of master classes to various NHS organisations, from hospitals, to mental health providers and national improvement bodies. With all of these clients I ensured the content was tailored to the specific context of the client.
General Practice Improvement Facilitation – Improvement Coaching
I have coached a large number of practices and practice groups towards their improvement aims. This has resulted in improvements around workforce planning, back office efficiency, reception efficiency, visual management, consistency of approach and in federation level collaboration.
Integration of HV, MW and Children Centre Teams – Improvement Coaching
With my long term collaborator, Liz Ward, we designed and delivered a series of improvement interventions to help integrate professional teams. This helped the local authority in question move their ambition of integrated teams from merely one of form, to one of function.
Development of a theory of change for ambulance services – facilitation and coaching
Working with a large ambulance service, I worked with senior staff to structure and test their theory of change – their plan for improving services and reducing avoidable conveyancing. This helped them communicate their plan to a large and complex mix of stakeholders.
